Once again . . . its been a while.  Nothing much has happened.  Still working everyday . . . not doing much else.  I saw Pirates of the Caribbean 2!!!  I've been waiting for a LONG time for that movie.  It was really good.  Not as good as the first . . . but I think they leave a lot of room to make the third one excellent.  I also went bowling last week.  I suck at bowling.  I normally get like around 70-80ish.  BUT the first game . . . I got 147!  HOLY CRAP!  It was amazing really.

So my surgery is on Friday . . . I'm starting to get scared.  One of the girls at work asked me what I would do if I went blind.  Now I'm really really paranoid.  I have no idea what I'd do.  I'm so young . . . I don't even want to think about it.  Pray for me.  I don't want to be blind.

It's been awhile since I last updated.  Camp has been about the same except last week I was with a different age group and we took a field trip on Thursday.  The field trip was interesting because it was a 3 hour drive on a school bus with a bunch of wild kids and then we only spent about 4 1/2 hours at Camp Dawson (which is where we were going) and then had to drive all the way back.  A couple of the kids even got car sick both ways.  Lovely.

So I've gone to Pittsburgh the last 2 weekends.  The first weekend I went with my family for my cousin's graduation party.  His party went well.  I just kinda sat there for most of it since the only people I knew there were my family.  Then this weekend I went to Pittsburgh with Brian since his band was playing there Friday and Saturday nights.  Plus I hadnt seen him in a month.    But we had a great weekend.  On Saturday we went to Kennywood and that was a lot of fun!  He also played really well both nights . . . of course.

On July 14 I am having LASIK surgery!  I'm really excited!  I'll finally be able to see without these stupid contacts driving me crazy or popping out of my eyes when I'm driving.

So camp has been pretty stressful with a lot of the little boys.  There are about 6 of them that just wont listen to me.  I dont think its only me . . . most of them wont listen to most of the girls in general but then they'll listen to the guy counselor.  *sigh*  its really frustrating.  Oh well.  But today one of the boys that normally doesnt listen to me was really wonderful for me.  It made me feel really good and it completely made my day.

Tomorrow some of my cousins are coming to visit for the day.  They live in Washington (the state not DC) so I havent seen them for a while.  Plus it will be somewhat emotional because their son is the cousin whose wife got murdered this winter.  That really upset me last semester and they still have not solved it.  So I'm sure we'll talk about that some and it could be interesting.

So camp officially started today.  Though during the day time actually went by quickly, I soon felt the effects of it all when I left the YMCA.  My head has not stopped hurting in 4 hours and I'm very very tired.  All in all I had a good group of kids.  I had more than I felt comfortable handling, but I will get better with that over the summer.  Though there were 2 boys in my group that made the day difficult and I have no doubt will make every day difficult.  Then in the entire group there were a handful of boys that made the day interesting and stressful.  Especially one who sadly was not completely there in the head.  I felt bad for him.  He would just randomly start to wander off and someone would have to chase him down.  Then he wouldnt understand why he had to come back or he would refuse to do things with the others.  It was a challenge and I honestly dont know how to handle it properly.  There are too many kids for one counselor to only focus on him, and yet I think thats what would be best for him and in the end easier on the couselors.  One of these days, if we turn for a second he might wander off and hurt himself or someone else or get lost.  Not good. There are several other stories just from today, but I'm tired and my wrist is killing me (has been for days andI dont know why) so I'm going to leave it at this for now.

So I think its been about 2 weeks since I last updated.  Not much has happened since then.  I started training for the Y which has been cool so far.  I'll be pretty busy starting next week with that.  Should be interesting.  My grandparents came in for Memorial Day weekend.  I actually had a decent time hanging out with them most of the time.  I went to Huntington for a little over a day.  That was fun.  Though it was REALLY HOT today.  OMG the sign at McDonalds said 98 down there.  Thats crazy . . . and its still May.  Whatever happened to spring?  haha.

Right now I just want summer to get over with.  I kinda wish I had decided to take a summer class . . . maybe then I wouldnt feel like I was wasting my time.  Oh well.
